We are a 21 residential bed non-medical facility providing alcohol, drugs and problem gambling treatment to male and female clients 18 years and older. We have been in operation since 1976 and we’ve been located on our current site since 1982.
We have over 30 years of treating substance addictions, and over 12 years treating problem gambling addiction.
We are a valued and trusted leader within the treatment industry. South Country Treatment Centre falls under the auspices of the Lethbridge & Community Addictions Treatment Society, who’s Board of Directors governs our Agency.
At South Country Treatment Centre, our treatment goals are to help the individual improve self-awareness and well-being, maintaining sobriety & positive changes in their life. With the introduction at the beginning of the program, clients learn to understand the nature, cycles and impacts of addictions. Learning to recognize the signs and symptoms of relapse, the client is learning about developing both internal and external strengths, the development of resources and building support systems will be able to maintain sobriety and the positive changes they have made. By developing healthier and more effective coping strategies and being abstinent from alcohol, drugs and gambling, our clients are given hope for the future.
